Hello all! I am a 23-year-old journalist with my B.A. in Journalism and a minor in Political Science.
Currently, I write and report on my personal blog, which can also be found on my Medium account . I use both of these sites as my portfolios for my most recent work. On the listed sites, I showcase my photography skills since many of my recent articles feature photographs I shot and edited myself! I also freelance for YR Media, where I write articles focused on the Gen Z experience and point of view.
During my five years of journalism experience, I have been the News Editor for The Daily Aztec, interned for Her Sport News in Ireland, and contributed to the arts, sports, news, opinion and video sections of The Daily Aztec newspaper.
In these roles I have managed a staff of writers, trained incoming writers, designed newspaper layouts, interviewed high profile individuals, edited using AP style, managed social media engagement, collaborated with a team of editors, and crafted articles.
